Of all the resources a company possesses the most important by far has to be its people. Employees are the lifeblood upon which a business thrives. That’s why it is so important to not only recruit qualified, talented, and motivated individuals, but to retain them.
Below are the first two of the five of the best ways to retain employees:
1.Bring the right people in at the beginning! – Someone may be super qualified for a job position and have all of the credentials, but if their personality does not match up with your company culture, there is no chance that they will stick around. So make sure your recruiting process is structured to bring in the types of people that can get invested in the work that you do.
2.Create incentives that align the interests of employee and employer – Incentivizing employees should not be approached as a dreaded expense in which the company is incurring even greater costs, it should be seen as an opportunity to invest in the company’s long-term growth. Having incentive programs in place, both pay and non-pay related, will serve to show employee’s that you are invested in them having a successful future
