Sage HRMS (Abra) New Earning Code Required for certain employees in Florida

Florida now requires private employers with a contract to provide services to a governmental or non-profit educational institution to separately identify the wages paid to employees who perform these services. As of the Q3 Product Update, Sage Abra Suite will be able to include reporting of these wages if they are paid under a separate earning code from other payments. To prepare for this change customers must use a unique earning code separate from employees who are not paid for services under the contract(s). A new indicator for the earning code setup will be delivered with the Q3 Product Update which will allow the Florida Quarterly File to properly segregate and report wages for these employees. CS3 has found that this update for Florida does not apply to the majority of employers, but if you have employees in Florida please review the paragraph above to see if you need the new earning codes.
