Southwest Power Pool (SPP), one of our clients in Little Rock, Arkansas, has announced they will be the new reliability coordinator for 15 new western
utilities. This is an impressive expansion of services for SPP, which calls for additional hiring for system operations, and will be in effect
in late 2019.
In 1941, eleven power companies pooled their resources to form Southwest Power Pool and ensure that the Arkansas' Jones Mill had power at all times. Now, SPP oversees the supply of power, transmission infrastructure, and wholesale electricity prices in 14 states.
Congratulations on this major expansion of services!
