CS3 Technology Invests in Dallas HR
Christine Luttrell Installed as President
Dallas, Texas - January 19, 2010 - Christine Luttrell, Senior HR Sales Consultant with CS3 Technology was installed today as the 2010 President of the Dallas Human Resource Management Association. The Dallas Human Resource Management Association, Inc. ("DHRMA") is a not-for-profit organization with an association membership of more than 2,200 Human Resource professionals. Formed in 1939, Dallas HR one of the top chapters affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Dallas HR has earned SHRM's Superior Merit Award each year since inception, as well as the prestigious Pinnacle Award.
Dallas HR was formed to foster the professional development of the membership, to be a forum for the exchange of ideas, and to provide leadership for human resource concerns. The Association provides a wide variety of sources to solve problems and help expand the professionalism, competence and knowledge of its members.
As this year’s leader, Christine brings a wealth of volunteer experience along with an overall strategic knowledge of the HR profession to the position. She joined Dallas HR in 2002 and immediately jumped into an active volunteer role, serving on the annual Silent Auction committee, which raises monies for students pursuing education in Human Resources or related disciplines and provides grants to educational programs that teach cutting edge ideology in HR or emphasize the very best in Human Resources/Organizational Development practices. After being selected for the SHRM Chair role 2 years later, Christine managed the entire Silent Auction event, which raised over $7000 in a one hour period for the students. That, along with additional contributions to SHRM proved to be the largest single donation year in DHRMA history, providing the basis for Christine’s “Volunteer of the Year” award. Christine continued moving up in the organization, joining the Board of Directors as Professional Development Director, overseeing the committee responsible for soliciting and securing the educational content and monthly speakers that are so valuable to the membership. Last year, Christine served under Terry Stallcup as 2009 President-Elect, preparing herself for her challenging leadership role. Although 2009 was a difficult year, with so many members in transition and looking to the DHRMA leadership team for support and guidance, the membership base continued to grow. Christine, with the support of her tremendous board, expects 2010 to be no different. “In talking with our members, more and more people are landing, companies are hiring, HR professionals that were consumed with downsizing activities last year are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and people are smiling again,” Christine said. “It’s going to be an exciting year to be leading Dallas HR. We are rolling out state of the art technology for our members and the programming we are offering this year is fantastic. The group of leaders serving along with me brings a lot to the table and although it is a lot of hard work, it’s going to be a blast!”
Gary Crouch, President of CS3 Technology embraces the volunteer mentality and fully supports the commitment Christine has made to Dallas HR, himself serving in various capacities of the Oklahoma SHRM chapter. “We find the investment in volunteer activities invigorates our entire firm.
