This month’s presentation topic at the Tulsa Chapter for the Institute of Management Accounts was “The Half-Time Report.” It was a review of the first
six months of the 2015 economy, as well as some predictions for the remainder of the year.
The presenter was Jimmy J. Williams, CPA/PFS the CEO /President of Compass Capital Management. Mr. Williams specializes in working with retirees and near retirees in planning for retirement through investments.
My take away from the overview is that as an investor, one should have an investment and proactive financial planning strategy for both up and down market scenarios. This removes emotion from the decision making process, and therefore will limit the financial exposure to the individual investor.
