For years CS3 has followed a stringent process for system selection. This selection process, what I think is the most critical, is reflected in the first two steps of our Plus7 Process. Making sure that your invest sufficient time documenting not only what you expect from your new software, but the “current state of the union” is equally important. Each new expectation of the software should be valued in term of a financial payback to the organization. There will be many software packages from which to choose. It is easy to get distract with the “sizzle” factor in a demonstration. Focusing on the value of the critical features will allow you to score each product and provide a clear choice is the correct product.
