This month’s meeting of the MGMA of Eastern Oklahoma featured speaker Ms. Lindsey Wiley of the Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality. Her experience includes hospital administration and clinical software implementations which includes training more than 2,500 nurses on the use of such technology. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Oklahoma.
Ms. Wiley’s topic was Meaningful Use Audits for Medicare and Medicaid. Highlights of her discussion included learning what to expect from a Meaningful Use Audit, how to prepare and be ready for a Meaningful Use Audit and why hospitals and providers fail their Meaningful Use Audits.
I highly recommend joining your local MGMA if you are a healthcare professional. Each and every meeting brings great information on topics important to healthcare providers. Please see the MGMA's website for more information.
