Sage Abra SQL HRMS v9 & v10 - Employee Find Feature with Crystal Reports®
Sage has found that there are two scenarios in which a report that uses the Crystal Reports® application may cause the Sage Abra SQL HRMS Employee Find feature not to function properly.
1. Regarding Crystal Reports that are run within the Sage Abra SQL HRMS Reports Menu:
If you attempt to view a report within Sage Abra Suite HRMS that has been added from Customize Abra Menu, the report will open without an issue. Once the report has been closed and you attempt to use the Employee Find feature, the list of employee records may not populate as expected. Or when you try to use the sort filter by Employee Last Name, the Employee Find feature may not respond to the characters being typed in the field.
Note: To reactivate the Employee Find feature, exit Sage Abra and restart the application.
Sage will be making a correction to the Employee Find functionality later this month. You will be notified of the availability for this change.
2. Regarding Crystal Reports-Generated from the Crystal Reports application:
When attempting to generate or refresh a report in the Crystal Reports application with the Employee Find page opened in Sage Abra, we have found that the report will not show results or allow you to refresh the data in the Crystal Reports application.
Note: Either closing the Employee Find page or selecting an employee record in the Employee Find page will allow the report to generate.
Sage will address the Crystal Reports application data refresh issue and will provide additional information to you as it becomes available.
